This summer, even we at the Clarion Hotel Stockholm want to manifest the theme of love.
As art and music are integral elements of our hotel we asked renowned artist Martin Wickström - aided by his vast network and knowledge of art history - to create a slideshow with love as the central theme.
Love in all forms is well represented in art history; a secret flirt, white hot eroticism, peaceful warmth, longing, security and loss.
It is portrayed in all manners, with the utmost seriousness or with underlying humour, straight to the point or shrouded in mystery.
The slideshow consists of 114 pictures. Starting from the 6th of June, Sweden’s National Day, 57 pictures will be displayed. By the 1st of August, 57 days later and in conjunction with the end of the Stockholm Pride festival, those initial 57 pictures will be replaced by 57 new pictures; a new picture for each day between.
