Ecce Homo by Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin

Elisabeth Ohlson Wallins’ Ecce Homo

Behold the man – Swedens most controversial exhibition in a new era. See the 10 year anniversary of Elisabet Ohlson Wallins’ exhibition Ecce Homo at the Clarion Hotel Stockholm.

In 1998, when the exhibition was shown for the first time, the highly discussed pictures led to wonders and outcries. Now, a decade later the exhibition is still much-debated.

Thanks to the cooperation between the artist and the Clarion Hotel Stockholm, the exhibition is now accessible again. Take part of the Ecce Homo exhibition at the Clarion Hotel Stockholm during the 25th of July till the 7th of August. Free of charge. Welcome!

Ecce Homo
In 1998, Stockholm experienced a miracle. Gays and lesbians, bisexual and transgender people celebrated Europride and in the middle of the festivities appeared Jesus Christ.
Jesus of Nazareth stepped down to earth and became visible to the people through Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin’s photo exhibition Ecce Homo. There stood Jesus amongst leather-clad gays and lesbians, there stood Jesus giving Holy Communion amongst drag-queens and transvestites, and just like 2000 years ago the reactions were enormous.
Since its 1998 debut, Ecce Homo has been a subject of global controversy, and Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin has been acknowledged as one of the premier photographic artists of our time. Ecce Homo is Latin for “Behold the man”.
